Ordered that the Clerk be and is hereby instructed to write pro-
posals for work on gas lamps and mains.
Ordered that the Report of the Gas Lights Committee on
the matter of additional lights be adopted.
Ordered that gas lamps be erected at the corner of Seneca
and Front and Univesity and Front Streets.
Ordered that a Committee on furnishing New City
Engine House to consist of the Jail Comtee. and Clerk be
and is hereby appointed.
Ordered that the Chief of Police be and is hereby instructed
to superintend the furnishing of the New City Jail.
Ordered that in the future no claims be allowed by the
Council unless such claims have been duly approved
by written approval of the officer of the City who incurred
the expense.
