"right of way to the Union Water Company to lay and keep in
repair water pipes within the City of Seattle for the purpose of
supplying the inhabitants thereof with pure fresh water." After
due consideration said Ordinance is adopted upon the fol-
lowing vote towit: In favor of adoption Cosper, Clancy,
McDonald, Manning & Rasin. Against adoption none.
Ordered that the vote of assessment in order to provide funds
to pay for the sidewalk constructed on Marion Street under Ordi-
nance No. 364 be & is hereby fixed in the sum of 7 3/10 mills
on the Dollar. Ordered that the Council stand now adjourned until Monday
evening April 16, 1883.

Be it remembered that on this the 16th day of April 1883 the Com-
mon Council of the City of Seattle meets in its Council Chamber
pursuant to adjournment.
The following Officers are present, towit: His Honor the Mayor H.G.
Struve
and Councilmen O.F. Cosper, Charles F. Clancy, Charles
McDonald
, G. L. Manning and U.M. Rasin.
Thereupon the following proceedings are had:

From Clerk showing Fund statement of a/c with Chin Guan
& Charlie
on grades. Referred to the Committee on Streets and
Street Improvements.
From Surveyor showing earth placed in lower Spring and James
Streets
by Chin Guan & Charlie. Filed.
Committees Reports Rec'd
From Gas Lights recommending the discontinuance of oil
lamp corner 5th and Jefferson Streets. Adopted.
From Streets and Street Improvements approving Clerk's statement
of the a/c with Chin Guan & Charlie. Adopted.
