266 JOURNAL OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE May 28/83 Be it remembered that on this the 28th day of May 1883 the Common Council of the City of Seattle meets as a board of Equalization pursuant to adjournment on May 24, 1883 The folowing Officers are present to wit: His Honor the mayor H G Struve and Councilmen O F Cosper, Fred Gasch, Charles McDonald and U M Rasin Thereupon the following proceeds wiht the examinatin and equalizatin of the General Assessment Roll, for the year 1883 Thereupon the following changes are made in said rell to wit: The assessment of Henry Webster on Lot 1 Block 31 Maynard's reduced on value of Lands to $1350.00 & on Lot 2 Block 31 Maynard's reduced on Value of Lands to $1150.00. The assessment of Melody Choir on Block 16 Edes & Knights reduced on value of Lands to $2000.00 The assessment of Joseph Ade on Lot 1 Block 25 Denny's reduced on value of Lands to $3000.00 The assessment of Hulda B Young on Lots 1&4 Block 25 Boren's reduced on value of Lands to $600.00 The description of H A Smith on Lot 5 Blk 2 Boren's The assessment of Mrs E M McGilvra on Lot 1 Block G Denny's fixed at $600.00 on value of Lands The assessment of Almira Kidd on Lot 5 Block 4 Judkins's reduced on value of Lands to $250.00 & on Lot 4 Block 11 Judkin's reduced on Value of Lands to $250.00. The assessment of Henry L Yesler on Lot 2 Block 4 Boren's reduced on value of Lands to $8000.00 & on Lot 1 Block 4 Boren's reduced on Value of Lands to $11000.00. & on fraction of Lot 5 Block 1 Maynard's reduced on value of Lands to $10500.00 & 105 acres of land in Yesler's Donation Claim reduced on value of Lands to $42000. & on a tract of land fronting on Front & Mill Streets reduced on Value of Lands to $90000. Whereas on no further complaints being presented as to any assessment roll and said roll having been duly examined corrected & equalized. It is ordered that the said assessment
