JOURNAL OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE

Be it remembered that on this the 3rd day of August 1883
the Common Council of the City of Seattle meets in its Council
Chamber pursuant to law.
The following Officers are present to wit: His Honor the
Mayor H G Struve and Councilmen Thomas Clancy, B F
Day
, B F Harris, Chas McDonald, U M Rasin, Otto Ranke
and F W Wusthoff.
Thereupon the following proceedings are had:
By reasonof absence from the City of His Honor the Mayor
H G Struve Councilman U M Rasin is appointed as
acting Mayor to serve during such absence.
Petitions Received
The various petitions received were referred to Special
Committees and afterwards reported back to theCouncil
without action & made the order of business for next meeting.
