Ordered that the Council stand now adjourned until Monday
November 12, 1883 at 7&1/2 o'clock pm.

Be it remembered that on this the 12th day of November 1883 the
Common Council of the City of Seattle meets in its Council Chamber
pursuant to adjournment.
The following Officers are present to wit: His Honor the Mayor
H G Struve and Councilmen Thomas Clancy, B F Day, Charles Mc-
Donald
, U M Rasin, Otto Ranke & F W Wusthoff.
Thereupon the folowing proceedings are had:
Ordered that the call of the regular order of business be suspended
with and the Council proceed to the Considerataion of C B No 57 to
amend the Charter of the City ; thereupon the Council proceeds with
the consideration of said bill; thereupon after amending the said bill
save & except Section 37 which said section the Council upon
a tie vote fail to agree upon the apportionment of the Council-
men from the First & Second Wards. It is ordered that the Mayor
be & is hereby instructed to deliver said bill as amended to
the members of the Legislature from this County.
Ordered that the Council stand now adjourned.

No quorum being present the Council adjourned until Wednesday
November 22,1883 at 7&1/2 o'clock pm
