Consideration of Ordinances
Ordered that the Ordinances to provide for a sewer in Battery
Street
be and the same is laid over until next meeting.
Ordered that the Ordinance in relation to the duties of the
Treasurer be an the same is referred to Judiciary Committee.
Ordered that the Attorney be and is hereby instructed to submit
by ordinances any necessary amendments to the
general. Ordinance regarding assessment for taxes.
And now the Council proceeds to consider an Ordinance entitled
"An Ordinance to amend Section one(1) of Ordinance No. 499 entitled
"In addition to Auctioneers, Hawkers and Peddlers," thereupon after due
examination said Ordinance is adopted upon the following vote, towit:
In favor of adoption Clancy, Day, McDonald, Rasin, Ranke and
Wusthoff. Against adoption none.
And now the Council proceeds to consider an Ordinance entitled "To
amend Section Seven(7) of Ordinance No. 204 entitled "An Ordinance
in relation to Licenses" thereupon after due consideration the same is
adopted upon the following vote, towit: In favor of adoption Clancy, Day, McDonald, Rasin, Ranke andWusthoff. Against adoption none.
And now the Council proceeds to consider 4 ordinances each
being entitled "A special Ordinance appropriating money to audited
bills," after due consideration said Ordinances are adopted upon
the following vote, towit: In favor of adoption Clancy, Day, McDonald, Rasin, Ranke and Wusthoff. Against adoption none.
Ordered that the Council stand now adjourned until Wednesday
Jan. 9, 1884 at 7 1/2 o'clock pm.
