Licenses ordered issues
Ordered that licenses be issued as follows:
Peter Anderson & Co for retail liquor for 3 months from Jan 1, 1884
L. Deller for 1 Billiard table for 3 months from Jan 16, 1884
R. Howard for 1 Billiard table for 3 months from Jan 3, 1884
Frank Lessman for 1 Billiard table for 3 months from Jan 13, 1884
T. B. Timony for 1 Billiard table for 3 months from Jan 7, 1884

Ordered that the Street Commissioner be and he is hereby instructed to lower
sidewalk on south side of Washington Street fronting Geo W. Young's
property.
Ordered that the matter of considering the rights of 2 additional Coun-
cilmen appointed by Act of Legislature to seats as Councilmen
be and the same is laid over for special business tomorrow evening.
Ordered that the Council stand now adjourned until Friday Jan-
uary 10, 1883 at 7 1/2 o'clock p.m.

Jan 10/84 Be it remembered on this the 10th day of January 1884 the
Common Council of the City of Seattle meets in the Council Chamber
pursuant to adjournment.

The following Officers are present, towit: His Honor the Mayor H.G.
Struve and Councilmen Thomas Clancy, B.F. Day, Geo W. Harris, Chas
McDonald, U.M. Rasin and F.W. Wusthoff

By reason of the mobility by illness of His Honor the Mayor to attend
Councilmen U.M. Rasin is appointed President of the Council to serve
during the meeting.
Thereupon the following proceedings are had:
