459 COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE Apr 18/84 adopted on the following vote, towit: In favor of adoption Clancy, Harris, Keenen, Northrup, Ranke, Rasin & Wusthoff, against adoption none. An Ordinance is submitted entitles "A special ordinance appropriating money to pay audited bills" adopted upon the following vote, towit: In favor of adoption Clancy, Harris, Keenen, Northrup, Ranke, Rasin & Wusthoff, against adoption none. Miscellaneous Ordered that the Comtee on Health & Police be & they are hereby instructed to examine the matter of a nuisance complaint by Robert Abrams. Ordered that the Street Commissioner be & is hereby instructed to remove sewer foot of Cherry Street Ordered that the council stand now adjourned until Tuesday evening April 22, 1884 at 7&1/2 o'clock PM Attest: E S Osborne clerk Approved H G Struve mayor April 22/84 Be it remembered that on this the 22nd day of April 1884 the Common Council of the City of Seattle meets inits Council Chamber pursuant to adjournment. Referred to Comtee on Public Buildings, Property and Grounds From John Keenen et als for removing slide from Washington Street. Referred to Street Comtee. From L B Andrews et al for an extension of time in which to pay tax on Madison Street. Referred to the Attorney as the powers of the City in the Minutes. 460 JOURNAL OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE Apr 22/84 to Street Comtee Reports Rec'd From Atty on the petition of W. H. Shoudy et al regarding plat of Denny's Water Front addition. Re-committed with instructions to employ the aid of the Surveyor. Committee Reports From Comtee on Public Buildings, Property and Grounds rejecting the petition of Cochran & Roff regarding a lease of foot of Columbia Street, adopted From Comtee on Public Buildings, Property and Grounds recommending that the City Cemetery Grounds be condemned as a Cemetery. Adopted & Atty instructed to submit an Ordinance therefor From Special Comtee recommending that $500.00 be appropriated for the Improvement of Beach Road. Adopted. From Comtee on Public Buildings, Property & Grounds recommending the granting of the petition of Puget Iron Works et al for a tank in Seneca Street. Adopted. From Street Comtee on the petition of John Keenen et als recommending that the Street Commissioner be instructed to remove the slide in Washington Street. Adopted Licenses Ordered Issued Ordered that licenses be issued as follows, to wit: Mehlhorn & Co for Grocery for 6 months from Apr. 21. C. W. Smith for Retail for 3 months from Apr.19. Andrew Lunn & Co for Grocery for 3 months from Apr. 26. Claims Paid Fire Fund Quigley & Rosburg Tank Cor.
