The following Officers are present to wit: His Honorthe Mayor H G Struve & Councilmen Geo W Harris, John Keenen, Chas McDonald, B L Northrup, U M Rasin & F W Wusthoff Thereupon the following proceedings are had: Reports Rec'd From the surveyor submitting a map & elevations for proposed grade of Madison Street. Referred to a Special Comtee To wit: councilmen McDonald, Northrup & Keenan A report is rec'd from the Atty on the matter of the 4th Street Grade A motion to allow the Construction Bondsman on said Street an allowance for earth borrowed is lost. Ordered that the Council stand now adjourned attest: E S Osborne clerk Approved H G Struve mayor On now this 25th day of April 1884 immediately after adjournment as above Council meets pursuant to call of His Honor the Mayor to consider an ordinance to amend sec 1 of Ordinance No 536 Present: His Honor the Mayor H G Struve& Councilmen Geo W Harris, John Keenen, Chas McDonald, B LNorthrup, U M Rasin & F W Wusthoff An ordinance is submitted entitled "To amend section one of Ordinance No 536 to establish and regulate the Fire Department of the City of Seattle", After due consideration said ordinance is adopted upon the following vote to wit: in favor of adoption Harris, Keenan, McDonald, Northrup, Rasin & Wusthoff.
