479 COMMON COUNCIL OF THECITY OF SEATTLE May 20/84 the Mayor appeared and takes his seat as Presiding Officer when such equalization is proceeded with until the hour of adjournment. Order that the Council stand now adjourned until Wednesday May 21, 1884 at 8 o'clock pm Attest: E S Osborne clerk Approved U M Rasin President of the Council And now on May 20 1884 immediately after adjournment as aforesaid, the Council meets pursuant to the call of His Honor the Mayor H G Struve to consider Washington Street Sewer. Present, His Honor the Mayor H G Struve and Councilmen Thos Clancy, Geo W Harris, John Keenen, Chas McDonald,Otto Ranke, F W Wusthoff & U M Rasin And now a communcitation is rec'd from the Surveyor on the necessity of piling a foundation for Washington Street sewer & containing a statement of the cost of such piling Ordered that the communication be adopted & that the Contractors for Washington Street Sewer be & are hereby instructed to pile a foundation for same in accordance with said communication. Ordered that the Council stand now adjourned Attest: E S Osborne clerk Approved U M Rasin President of the Council May 21/84 On this the 21st day of May 1884 the Common Council of the City of Seattle meets in its council Chamber pursuant to adjournment as a board of Equalization. The following officers are present to wit: Councilmen Thomas Clancy, Geo W Harris, Chas McDonald, U M Rasin & F W Wusthoff. By reason of the absence of His Honor the Mayor, Councilman U M Rasin is appointed President of the Council to serve during such absence And now the Council proceeds with the examination and

Adjourned until Thursday May 22 at 8 o'clock pm Attest: E S Osborne clerk Approved U M Rasin President of the Council May 22/84 On this the 22d day of May 1884 the Common Council of the City of Seattle meets in its Council Chamber pursuant to adjournment as a Board of Equalization. Present Councilmen, Thos Clancy, B F Day, Geo W Harris, Chas McDonald, U M Rasin & F W Wusthoff By reason of the absence of His Honor the Mayor H G Struve, Coucilmen U M Rasin is appoointed President of the council to serve during such absence. And now the Council proceeds with the examination and equalization of the Assessment Roll for 1884. The Puget Sound National Bank asks a reduction of their assment. Laid over Ordered that A A Denny & D T Denny be notified to show cause if any they have, why additional property should not be added to their assessment on Monday May 26, 1884 at 8 o'clock pm Ordered that the following changes & Corrections be made is said assessment Roll to wit: C T Dose on sec's 9&10 Tp24NR4E Lots 2&10 reduced to $125. James Mitchell on Lot 3 B 15 Yesler's fractional Block reduced to $50. J W George changed to read under 1/6/of E 1/2 of Lot 1 B 10 Maynard's M N Maddock $1000 on personal property taken off Walter Clancy & McNaught on Block 13 Maynard's reduced to $1200.
