the following vote to wit: In favor of adoption Clancy, Day, Keenen,
McDonald, Northrup, Ranke, Rasin & Wusthoff. Against
adoption none.
The Street Comtee return the petition of E Calvert et al on
Battery Street recommending that the same be rejected
Committees report adopted
The Street Comtee recommend the granting of the petition of
Mrs Harmon for repairning Columbia Street Adopted
Ordered that the Council stand now adjourned until Tuesday
June 17, 1884 at 8 o'clock pm for taking up the James St grade bids

Be it remembered that on this the 17th day of June 1884 the Com-
mon Council of the City of Seattle meets in its Council Chamber
pursuant to adjournment
Present: His Honor the acting mayor Councilman U M
Rasin
& Councilmen Thos Clancy, B F Day, John Keenen,Chas
McDonald
, B L Northrup, Otto Ranke & F W Wusthoff.
Thereupon the following proceedings are had:
A report is rec'd from Street Comtee rejecting all bids on James
Street grade for old Contract, provided no damages are
claimed for changes of grade already made and provided
further that contractors & bondsmen file in the clerks office
a waiver of all claims to damages on Wednesday June 18, 18884
Adopted
Ordered that the Council stand now adjourned.
