JOURNAL OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE
1st that the salary of the Treasurer and Chief of Police be each
reduced to Twelve Hundred Dollars per annum.
2nd that the salary of the City Assessor be fixed at Twelve Hundred
Dollars per annum out of which he should pay his own deputies
and 3rd that the salary of Police Officers be reduced to Sixty-five
dollars per annum
Ordered that the salary of the Treasurer be & is hereby fixed at
$1000. per year & that the report is hereby amended be & is hereby
adopted.
A motin is made to dismiss the articles for the impeach-
ment of James H Woolery as Chief of Police, thereupon the
motionis carried upon the following vote, towil: In favor of
the MotionFrye, Harrington, Yesler,Latimer, & Graham. Against
the same Rinehart, Snyder & Crockett

Ordered that the Clerk be & is hereby instructed to give 10 days
Public Notice as required by law that a general election for all
City Officers of the City of Seattle will be held on Monday July 12
1885.
The Officers to be elected shall be as follows, to wit: One Mayor, One
Chief of Police, One Attorney, one assessor, and from the First Ward one
Council for the term of two years to fill the vacancy to be caused by
the expiration of the term of two years for fill the vcancy to be caused by
the expiration of the term of E F Sox; and from the Third Ward one council-
man the term of two years to fill the vacancy to be caused by the expira-
tion of the term of Geo F Frye
The places at which such election shall by held and the Officers appointed
to conduct the same are as follows towit:
Fifth Ward
Election to be held at Engine House No 2
Officers of Election
Inspector A P Spaulding
Judges W Morris and A Amends
Clerk H O Hollenbeck and L T Brook
Second Ward
Election to be held at Engine House No 1
