COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY SEATTLE
Feb 5 1886
raise the license for the sale of spiritous & malt liquors.
On motionof Councilman Hall the finance Committee is
instructed to ascertain on what terms the City can place
$20,000.00 of City Bonds for the purpose of building the Beach
Road
, and authorized to advertise for bids for the same.
Ordinances
An Ordinance entitled "An Ordinance requesting the Establish-
ment and maintainance of Public Laundries & public
wash houses within the city limits of the City of Seattle"
is submitted by the City Attorney, which after due con-
sideration is adopted by the following vote; in favor of
such ordinance Calligan, Furth, Hall, Keenen, Lake, McDonald
and Young against none
Also;
An Ordinance Entitled "An ordinance to amend Sections 1 &
4 of Ordinance No 317"
Also;
An Ordinance Entitled "An ordinance to Provide for
Improving the alley through Block 8 of D S Maynard's
Plat
"
Also;
An Ordinance entitled "An Ordinance transferring certain
money from from the 'General Municipal Fund' to the
Road fund" and each of said Ordinances having been
duly considered by the Council is adopted by the following
vote In favor of of the same, Calligan, Furth, Hall, Keenen,
Lake, McDonald and Young against none.
An Ordinance is submitted by the City Atty entitled "An Ordinance
to further extend and establish Madison Street in the City of
Seattle" and on motion the same is returned to the city
Atty without Action.
An Ordinance is submitted entitled "A special Ordinance
appropriating money to pay audited bills" which is adopted
by the following vote In favor Calligan, Furth, Hall, Keenen, Lake, McDonald
and Young against none
Ordered that Council do now adjourne
