COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE
Aug 11 1886
On motion of Councilman Lake the Clerk is di-
rected to advertise for bids for furnishing the City
with Lumber for the ensuing year
Councilman Reitze moves that the Clerk be instructed
to advertise for bids for lighting the streets and
care of Street lights for a term of one to five years
Lost
Councilman Furth moves that the Clerk be directed to call
for bids for lighting the lighting the streets and care of Lamps for
a term of one year.
CouncilmanFrink moves to amend by advertising for
a term of five years. The amendment being voted upon is lost.
And the original motion being put is carried and the
Clerk ordered to advertise for bids for lighting the streets
and care of Street Lamps for the term of one year.
An Ordinance is submitted by the Clerk entitled
"A special ordinance appropriating money to pay
audited bills" which is passed by the following vote; in favor of same Coulter, Furth, Frink, Green, Hinck-
ly
, Lake, Reitze & Russell.
Against none.
Ordered that the Council do now adjourn

1886 the Common Council of the City of Seattle meets in its
Council Chamber pursuant to law: The following officers are
present to wit: Mayor W H Shoudy and Councilmen J M
Frink
, Joseph Green, T D Hinckley, T W Lake, R Russell & C F Reitze .
Whereupon the following proceedings were had to wit:
The minutes of the last meeting were read & approved
