Ordinances
The City Atty submits an ordinance entitled
"An Ordinance authorizing the Mayor and Clerk
to execute a contract for lumber" which is
passed by the following vote: Ayes Frink, Green
Hinckley, Lake, Russell & Reitze. Noes none
The Clerk submits an ordinance entitled "A
Special Ordinance appropriating money to pay
audited bills" which is passed by the following
vote: Ayes Frink, Green, Hinckley, Lake, Russell &
Reitze. Noes none
Ordered that the Council adjourn until Monday Aug 23d at
8 o'clock pm

Be it remembered that on this the 23rd day of
August 1886 the Common Council of the City of
Seattle meets in its Council Chamber pursuant of
adjournment. Present, Mayor Shoudy and Councilmen
Coulter, Frink, Green, Hinckley, Lake, Russell and
Reitze
The following proceedings were had, to wit:
Councilman Green chairman of the Street Light Com
reports verbally that he is unable to make a
report upon the bids for lighting the streets and
and moves that the Committee be allowed until
Monday next to report. Motion Lost.
Communication received for the President and
Secty of Seattle Gas and Electric Light Co
