COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE

On motion of Councilman Lake it is ordered that
the Council proceed on a body to examine that portion
of Main Street which the Columbia & Puget Sound R R Co
wish vacated, tomorrow (Saturday) at 2 o'clock PM.
Councilman Reitze moves that a sidewalk be
ordered built onSeventh Street between Madison
Street
and Union St. There being no second to the
motion it is lost.
The Chief of Police reports verbally that he has
suspended officer Wm Morris for conduct unbecoming
an officer.
On motion of Councilman Furth the matter is referred
to the Committee on Health & Police said committee to re-
port at an adjourned meeting of the Council to be
held Tuesday October 5th next at 7 o'clock PM
Ordinances
An Ordinance is submitted by the City Attorney
entitled "An Ordinance authorizing the transfer of
$190.00 from the City Fund to the Cemetary Fund of
the City of Seattle" which after due consideration is
passed by the following vote: In favor of the same
C W Coulter, J Furth, J M Frink, Jos Green, T D Hinckley,
T W Lake, R Russell & C F Reitze against none.
An Ordinance is submitted by the City Attorney en-
titled "An Ordinance relating to the bidding in ans
purchase of real property in sales on execution
of foreclosure in action wherein the City of Seattle
is a party " which after due consideration is passed
by the following vote: In favor of the same C W Coulter,
J Furth, J M Frink, Jos Green, T D Hinckley, T W Lake,
R Russell & C F Reitze against the same none.
