Be it remembered that on this 21st day of Jany
1887 the Common Council of the City of Seattle meets
in its Council Chamber pursuant to law. The follow-
ing Officers are present to wit: J Furth, J M Frink, Jos Green, T D Hinckley,
R Russell & C F Reitze. The following proceedings
are had to wit:
The miuntes of the last meeting are read and approved.
Petition Rec'd
From Charles Hopkins et al for sidewalk on West
side of Front Street from Cracker Factory to
North side of Union Street. Granted & Sidewalk
ordered constructed.
From Gordon Hardware Co for permission to carry
stock of 100 pounds of powder in their store on Front
Street
and same quantity in their warehouse on
[Gliman's Wharf]] granted.
From Hardy & Hall for permission to store one hundred
pounds of powder in their store on Front Street
Granted on condition that petitioners keep a sign
conspicuously displayed to the effect that they are
licensed to carry powder.
