THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE
May 12 1887
Be it remembered that on this 12th day of May A D 1887
the Common Council of the City of Seattle meets in its
Council Chamber pursuant to the call of His Honor the
Mayor. The following officers are present to wit:
Hi Honor the Mayor W H Shoudy and Councilmen C W
Coulter
, J Furth, Jos Green, T D Hinckley, T W
Lake
, R Russell & C F Reitze.
Whereupon the following proceedings are had to wit:
The report of the board of Fire Delegates announcing
that Gardner Kellogg had been duly elected chief of
the Seattle Fire Department at the election held pursuant
to law on May 2nd 1887 was received and read.
Councilman Green moves that thereport be adopted
and the said Gardner Kellogg appointed Chief of the
Seattle Fire Department for the ensuing year.
the motion is carried by the following vote: Ayes
C W Coulter, J Furth, J M Frink, Joseph Green and R Russell
Noes T D Hinckley, T W Lake, & C F Reitze.
Ordered that the Council do now adjourn
