Extend and establish Second Street in the City of
Seattle, and to provide for the condemnation of
real estate necessary therefor". On motion the
vote by which said Ordinance was passed is re-
considered over the mayor's veto. the motion is
lost by the following vote: Ayes Furth, Frink
Russell & Reitze. Noes Hinckley & Lake
On motion of Councilman Furth the matter
of extending and widening Second Street is referred
to the Street Committee and the Committee directed
in conjunction with the City Surveyor to examine
and report an estimate of the cost of widening
Second Street to 90 feet in width from Depot Street
to Mill Street and South Third Street from Mill
Street to King Street
The Street Committee to whom was referred the plans
and specifications for the improvement of Fourth
Street from Union Street to Bell Street recom-
mending that the same be approved and adopted
and on motion the same are approved and adopted.
On motion Otto Smith is appointed Clerk of Election
for the Third Ward Vice R M Hopkins declined to serve.

An Ordinance is submitted by the City Attorney
entitiled "An Ordinance to provide for the grading
and improvement of Fourth Street from Union
Street to Bell Street", which is passed by the
following vote viz: Ayes Furth, Frink, Lake, Hinckley
Russell & Reitze noes none.
An Ordinance is submitted by the City Attorney
entitiled "An Ordinance esteablishing the grade of
Fourth Street from Kinnear Street to Bell Street
