Be it remembered that on this 17th day of August A D 1887
the Common Council of the City of Seattle meets in
its Council Chamber pursuant to law and
The following officers are present to wit: Acting
Mayor J Furth and Councilmen Frink, Green,
Moran, Neisz, Russell & Reitze, and W R Forrest Clerk.
On motion of Councilman Reitze the reading of the
minutes is suspended.

Petition of O Jacobs & Others for the opening
Depot Street from Banner to Broadway, and
the condemnation of property necessary thereof
read and referred to Street committee.
From Puguet Sound Improvement Co praying that the
Ordinance establishing the grade of Pike Street
changed to conform with the present grade, read and
referred to Street Committee.
From Davidson & Grubb praying for permission to
transfer liquor license from the Blue Front Saloon
to the Villard House read & on motion granted.
Petitonof J D Lowman for theopening of Eleventh
Street
from Columbia Street to Madison Street
