Be it remembered that on this 2nd day of September
1887 the Common Council of the City of Seattle meets in
the Council Chamber pursuant to the law. The following of-
ficers are present to wit: His Honor the Mayor T T
Minor
and Councilmen J.Furth, J M Frink, Jos Green,
R Moran, U R Niesz and C F Reitze and
W R Forrest Clerk. The following Proceedings are
had to wit:
Petitions and Communications
Petition of John Wickland and others for a box drain
at Sixth & Pine Streets. Read and referred to Street Com.
Petition of Chas Baker & Others for street lights on
Front Street from Pine Street to Depot Street Granted.
Petition of T W Wald and others for opening alley in
Block 30 Maynard's Plat and constructing a sewer
therein, read and referred t o Com on Streets & Com on Sewers & Drainage.
Communication from N B Peterson protesting against
the contractor doing the work on Seventh Street, piling
rocks on his property {Lot 11 Block 3 Hrs of D A Bell's Addn}
and asking that they be removed; read and granted
and Street Commissioner directed to notify the
