Petition of Joseph Hamblett & others asking the
council to take some steps to secure the pay of
the laborers on West Street grade is referrred to
the City Attorney.
Ordered that the matter of Madison Street
extension grade be referred to the Judiciary Com.
Ordered that the Council Do now adjourn.
Approved, Thomas T Minor mayor

Be it remembered that on this 18th day of
November A D 1887 the Common Council of the
City of Seattle meets in its council chamber
pursuant to wit: Mayor Minor & Councilmen
Furth, Green, Lake, Moran, Niesz, Russell & reitze
and W R Forrest clerk.
The following proceedings are had to wit:
Petitions etc rec'd
Petition of H L Carelton for rebate of license read
and granted.
Petition of Julia A Fenton for compesationfor
injuries caused by a fall ocassioned bya defective
sidewalk read & Referred to Judiciary Committee
Petition of J M Bennett for permission to build
a 12x14 ft shop adjoining his barber shop on west
side of Commercial Street read & referred to Com-
mittee on Fire & Water with power to act.
Application of W Perry Smith to be appointed
