An ordinance is submitted by the City Attorney entitled "An ordinance amending Sec 5 of ordinance No 253 fixing the ratio to be charged by the Spring Hill Water Co for supplying water" which is passed by the following vote ayes Furth, Green, Lake Moran Niesz Reitze against none. An ordinance is submitted by the City Clerk entitled "A special ordinance appropriating money to pay audited bills" passed by full vote. Ordered that the Council do adjourn until Friday next - Dec 9th 1887 at seven (7) o'clock P.M. Attest Clerk Approved Thomas Minor Mayor Dec 9 1837 Be it remembered that on the 9th day of Dec. 1887 the common council of the City of Seattle met persuant to adjournment. 351 COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE Dec 9 1887 north sidewalk of Seneca St between Front Street and the alley innediately east of Front Street, read and referred to the Street Committee Petition of Alfred Snyder for a cross walk on the north street corner of Seneca read and referred to street committee Petition of Edgar Bryan for a culvert across atreet for east half of Block 22 A A Denny's Addition read and referred to Street Committee Petition of John Crist for permission to put up a small building to be used as a Fruit and Cigar Stand on Alley facing Mill Street in Block 9 Maynard's Plat read and referred to the Street Committee Petition of L A Treen and others calling the attention of the Common Council to the defective construction of our Theaters, Hotels, Halls and other public buildings read and referred to committee on Fire & Water & Grounds Communication from the Spring Hill Water Company accepting provisions of franchise conveyed by Ordinance 833 read and ordered filed. Communication accompanied by deed from H H Dearborn and Co donating Lot 2 of Summerville for the purpose of a Public Park to be known as Summerville Park and requesting the City to clear off the land and seed it with grass. Referred to Committee on Public Buildings & Grounds.
