Ordered that the Council do now adjourn until Wed-
nesday April 11th 1888 at 7:30 o'clock PM

Be it remembered that this 11th day of April 1888
the Common Council of the City of Seattle meets in
its Council Chamber pursuant to adjournment. The
Following officers are present to wit: His Honor the
Mayor Thomas T Minor Councilmen Furth, Frink, Green,
Lake, Moran, Reitze and Russell, and W R Forrest clerk.
Petitions and Communications
Petitions of Robert Abrams for permission to remove and
alter a wooden building on Front Street near Pike
Street read and referred to Committee on Fire and Water,
Petition of A L Palmer for permission to alter and
repair a wooden building on Front Street near Pike
Street read and referred to Committe on Fire and Water.
Petition of Frank Dupont for permission to erect a one
story building to be used as a fish market at the foot
of Madison Street read and referred to Committee on Fire & Water
Communication from Austin A Bell to the council as
follows: "Will you kindly confer upon the undesigned
the pleasure of presenting to your Captain of Police James
H Woolery through your honorable body, the accompany-
ing cane to show my appreciation of his bravery and
presence of mind in preventing a serious accident to
my family on Sunday evening March 25th 1888.
