Be it remembered that on this 18th dayof May
A D 1888 the Common Council of the City of Seattle
meets in its Council Chamber pursuant to law.
The following Officers are present to wit: His Honor
the Mayor Thos T Minor and Councilmen Furth, Frink,
Green, Lake, Neitsz, Russell & Reitze Absent Moran
Whereupon the following proceedings are had to wit:
Petitions and Communications
Petition of Elizabeth H Shumway for permission to re-
move earth from Randolph Street read and referred
to the Street Committee with power to act.
Petition of Mary E Kenworthy and others for an iron
stone sewer in Sixth Street from Union Street to Pike
Street
read and referred to Committee on Sewers and Drainage.
Petition of W H Gleason and others for extension of
Washington Street sewer to Eleventh Street read and re-
ferred to Committee on Sewers and Drainage.
Peetition of J J Post and others for grading Fifth Street
and building sidewalks on both sides of said street
from Seneca Street to Mill Street read and referred to St. Com.
Petition of Thomas Emerson and others for grading &
building sidewalks on both sides of Tenth
Street
from Seneca Street toSpring Street read and
