of Wall Street from Elliott's Bay to Depot Street.
and City Surveyor directed to submit plans and specifica-
tions from such improvement at the next meeting of the Council. Adopted
From the same Committee rejecting petition of E D Briscoe
& others for grading Sixth Street from Spring Street to
Marion Street as the petition has not been signed by a
majority of the property owners, and your committee is
that a petition will be presented to the Council for the
grading of said Sixth Street from Depot Street to Spring
Street
. Adopted
From the same Committee rejecting petition of A A Bell &
others for opening Bell Street from Seventh Street to Depot
Street
as there does not appear to be any urgent necessity
for opening said street at the time. Adopted.
From the same Committee to whom was referred theOrdinance
asked for by the Seattle Street RailwayCompany, amending
the franchise heretofore granted said Company as follows:
"We do not think it advisible to grant said Seattle Street
Railway Company
and other or further priviledges than have
already been granted it by the City and therefore recommend
that the petition benot granted and that said ordinance
be not passed. Adopted.

Street-Lake Union and Park Transit Company
for a street
Railway Franchise. Councilman Reitze of the Committee
presents a minority report recommending the granting of the
franchise under certain conditions and restriction. On motion
the whole matter is re-referred to the Street Committee in
