The House of Delegates and Board of Aldermen of the City of Seattle meet this 8th day of May 1891 at 7:30 PM for the purpose of canvassing the votes cast at the at the [????] election held May 4th 1891 for the election of two members of the Board of Alderman to fill the [???????] caused by the resignation of F. W. Wald and F W. D Hallbrook. President Geo. W. Hall of the Board of Aldermen in the chair at role call the following offers are present. Bagby. Davis. Finny. Heauford. [Kithingu?] Jones Lawsing Merford [Nulldoon?] [Shipery?] Wilis Borgardes Kom Miller Pontius Snyder Mr President
The following [percedings?] are had [Commemative?] from the [Corparation?] {caused?] defining the duties of City Council as [Cawassing] returns of [Metims?] -- said [field?]
Motion Jones that a [communcation?] of 2 be appointed & [Canvass?] the [returns?] of the roles cast at the [speculation?] held May 4th for the election of 2 Members of the Board of Aldermen After the vacancies caused by the certifcation of F. W. Wald and F. W. D Hallbrook The motion was seconded and the Chair affirmed as the [???] to chair the [reform?] members Jones & Pontius
