41 Police Commissioners of the City of Seattle Jany 15 1891 [underline]Seattle State East Plumbing Shops 54.24 [underline] Rathi and Saustram 7.50 [underline] Loum and Hanfore Ptg Co 3.50

On motion the Tellen matter was taken up again. [line break in red ink] Crawford thought that the Officer had great provocation to lose his temper but thought that the facts in the case did not warrant the dismissal of the Officer: He moved that when the Chief turned in his time he deduct six days pay and severely reprimand the officer and reinstate him on the force. [line break in red ink] Ledgerwood concurred in Mr Crawford's view of the case. [line break in red ink] Guy Concurred in the view taken by Ledgerwood and Crawford [line break in red ink] Manning said no officer had a right to lose his temper no matter what the circumstances might be and that if he did and used any weapon (except thiose provided by the City) in the discharge of his duty he should be discharged from the force [line break in red ink] On motion of Crawford seconded by Ledgerwood the chief was instructed to deduct 6 days pay when he sent in Tellens time reprimand and reinstate him on the force - Carried - Manning voting against the motion

42 Journal of the PRoceeding of the Jany 15 1891 The mayor states that he was in the Board of Public Works and they have said action taken in fitting up a receiving Hospital next to the jail in one of the Citys buildings. [line break in red ink] The Clerk was authorized to have 2 or 3 books of the Rules and Regulations of the Police Force bound in leather for the Heads of the different City Depts [line break in red ink] On motion the Board motioned to meet Feby 15th 1891. Unless sooner called together by the Chairman. [line break in red ink] Attest H. W. Miller City Clerk W. B. Brown Deputy [line break in red ink] Appeared Harry White Mayor [line break in red ink] The Mayor called a special meeting for Jany 29th 1891 for the purpose of investigating the charges present -ed against Capt Hy. Sheenan and Officer Evans and Det Switch. Pursuant to the call of the Mayor the Board of Police Could meet Jany 29th 1891 - in the Rooms at the State of Delegates at 0730 - P.M. At Roll call the following members were present His Honor the Mayor Harry White and PM's James F. Crawford, G. O. Grey and A. H. Maning W. C. Ledgerwood came in shortly afterward [line break in red ink] The charges against the officers above named - are read and on motion of Officer[?] Crawford the whole matter was laid aden[?] until Jany 30th 1891 owing to the absence of the Capt Counsel and City atty attest H W Miller City Clerk WB Brown Dep

The Board of Police Coms of the City of Seattle met pursuant to adjourned in the near[?] City Hall in Special session for the purpose of investigating the charges preferred by Chief Gen C Munroe against Capalby[?] Sheenan and officers Ben Stritch and J W Evans. At Roll Call the following members were present His Honor the Mayor Harry White and Coms Saints of Crawford, Groguy, Wm E Ledgerwood and A H Manning. [line break in red ink] Chief Geo Munroe Corporation Connal O Jacobs and City Atty Jasz. P.
