To the Honorable Mayor and Common Council of the City of Seattle King County Washington,

The undersigned, your petitioners respectfully represent that they are resident free holders of the City of Seattle and residing and doing business on Pike and Seventh Streets in said City:

That Pike street is one of the principal streets in the city and is largely built up on both sides with business houses: two large churches and three large logging (sic) Houses within a Block of said corner, That seventh street is also a main thorough fare in said city and the junction of said streets is one of the most important and frequented corners in that section of the city:

That there are no street lights at said junction or at any point on either of said streets near the junction: That it is in consequence a dark and inconvient corner and as it is a distributing center for passengers on the Lake Union car line, the absence of any sufficient light makes it doubly inconvient.

Wherefore your petitioners pray that you will take the proper steps to have an arch light placed on the North East
