To the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Seattle
Gentlemen Your petitioners and Business men and merchants Doing business in the City of Seattle
And would most Respectfully represent and petition that the business is greatly interfered with by Peddlers Peddling candies and fruits in the streets of the City of Seattle and from house to house, greatly to the annoyance of Citizens and to the Damage of Persons paying Regular License to sell fruits & candies. Wherefore your petitioners pray that said peddling is stopped by your honourable Body.
