1st. mo. Thermometer 70 last evening, 34 thes morning.

25th. 5th.day Bright most of the day; coller; thermometer 27 in the morning. At home all day; no company here.

26th. 6th. day Cloudy, cool and rain; thermometer 28. At home all day, no company here.

27th. 7th. day Cloudy all day; a very little sprinkle of rain about 2 oclock and again about 5. At home all day.

28th. 1st. day Cloudy day; We both went to meeting; no company here.

29th. 2d. day Bright day; not very cold. Emily Hopkins and Fanny Snowden called in the morning; I went to Ingleside after dinner; took Emily to the stage; she had to go home before her visit was out, because Blanche is ill. I called to see Kate Henderson Dorsey, and the Adams sisters.

1st. mo. 30th. 3d. day Bright and pleasant. I dined at Cherry Grove; called for Henrietta in the afternoon to come home with me.

31st. 4th.day Cloudy, a good deal of the day; with a few drops of rain; Henrietta and I dined at Philips; I called to see Harriet Short and Jesse Bond in the morning. Dr. Dwyer here to dinner, to see Joseph.

2d. mo. 1st. 3th. day Bright morning, and cloudy afternoon. At home all day; Helen Stabler here awhile in the afternoon; Jim Hallowell here to Supper.

2d. 6th. day Clear, cold and very windy, Thermometer 22 early and went down some. Henrietta walked here late in the afternoon, Edward Snowden here on an errand about 5 o clock.
