June went to the Grove to see Mrs. Gailes put hinges on the garden gate at Boyd's. Fine weather but quite warm

Tuesday June 16th Went to Elim and [talked] with E. M. Zell. J. Boyd worked corn set our cabbage plants in the potatoe patch. Frank Barr took his heifer away.

Wednesday June 17th Commenced hoe harrowing corn crossways. Went out to the Grove in the morning in ox cart to get the hoe harrow teeth sharpened, borrowed J. K. Ferguson's hoe harrow. got home & lead line mended J. Boyd dug the cabbage bed in the garden after supper - Tried to how harrow corn myself after dinner but it was so hot I gave out.

Thursday June 18[th] J B worked corn. Went to the Grove and to Morris Watsons. Vaccinated Mrs Wheelers infant daughter. Hoe harrowed and shovel plowed the potatoes in the

June 18th truck patch. Made a hill-row for sweet potatoes in truck patch. Mrs Boyd brought us 200 sweet potato plants from Florentine Beaney's. Israel Roads was here with his horse "Bonapart."

Friday June 19th Set out, sweet potato plants. Went to Jas: Brysons sold him my electro-galvanic machine, bled Mrs Gregg Mrs Prall sent over after cabbage plants. J. B. worked corn, very warm: Fine rain about suppertime. Johnny Corkdale brought Freddie Paxson up to make us a visit. Bought some bacon-flitch of Mrs Wilkerson at 16 c pr: lb:

Saturday June 20th Very warm day - Rode over to Cyrus Charles & Mrs Pralls in the morning J Boyd went to Long's Mill and got 100 lbs of flour and 2 bushels of bran paying them for me $5.00 - Fixed up a grindstone. Went to John Wallace's Let J. Boyd have 50 lbs flour

Sunday June 21st Went to church in the morning, went to see John Johnson and dined with Mr Rutter. Went to Jas: Brysons to see Mrs Greggs infant. Caught in a shower coming home in the evening- considerable rain at intervals in the afternoon-

Monday June 22nd J. B. hauled lumber from the saw mill in the morning and worked corn in the afternoon. Went to see Mrs Wallace and to Saml Keehn's and vaccinated three of his children. Weather cooler than for some day's past. Showery t'wards evening. David Killough had a severe epileptic convulsion last night which disturbed my rest somewhat. Slept longer than was good for me this afternoon.

Tuesday June 23d J.B worked corn all dayWent out to the grove and got Ritty's shoes removed "all around". Went to see Joseph Ritzer about his mower and Reaper-

June 23d Lent the cart & oxen to Benj: Bishop to haul wood. Willie not very well gave him a dose of Santonin & Calomel before breakfast. he passed a very large "lumbricoides" (the largest I believe I ever saw) about 4 o'clock p.m.

Wednesday June 24th J.B. worked corn until supper time after which he and I straightened up the old hog house frame and nailed on some weather boarding Charley & Freddy went out to the Unicorn after some nails and tobacco for me. Frank King came and borrowed my infection pipe, looked very much like giving us a heavy thunder gust whilst we were at breakfast and again at supper time but in both instances passed around with only a slight shower here, weather cool and pleasant-

June 25th (Thursday) Went out to the Grove in the morning and from there to Cyrus Charles' then back to the Grove and saw Mrs Wallace. Sent out some medicine for Mrs W- [?] David in the afternoon. J. B. worked corn until supper time after which he and I worked at the hog-house.

Friday June 26th Finished Roofing the hog house. Went out to the Grove and from there to Saml Keehn's, Borrow'd J R Fergusons "Jenny Lind" to go to Lancaster in tomorrow. Sent David to Saml: Keehns with a note. Geo: Evans Sr: called for medicine and advice for his son David. J. Boyd finished working the corn length-ways.

Saturday June 27th Started for Lancaster at 4.a.m. transacted business with Bair & Shank's banking House
