1878 Saturday Sept 28th Went to office and to [Mrs?] Bonds'; called at [Chas?] Stabler's and prescribed for Sarah. Afternoon Mrs [Jno?] King called. Took Harriet and Baby with me and went to [Las?] Powell's.

Sunday Sept 29th Charley went to Riverside I went to [Big?] H Millers' and B Rush Roberts Dora went with her [?] to Riverside, Charley came home and got the buggy and horses and went after his sister. Jas Powell here. Settled with him in full for the "Better" mare. giving him a note drawn in favor of [Mrs?] Bond (six mos:) for $43.00; with which to buy fertilizer.

1878 Monday Sept 30th Went to office to S.S. and to Geo: Sprigg's. After tea Dora and I walked to R.S Bentleys to bid Anna Parker goodbye she goes home tomorrow.

Tuesday Oct. 1st Mrs P.S Stabler called for advice and med. Sent to ["Farquhar's"?] for 10 bushels oats and to Riverside for the ballance of sheaf oats. Took Dora and sent to Geo: Spriggs [thene?] to Riverside to the horticultural meeting Dr. Samuel Scott here in evening for advice for his sister Elizabeth

[Right Page] Clear 1878 Friday Oct 4th Went to Mrs Scotts S.S. and office afternoon took H and baby a drive out ["sligo"?] pike and home via Hollands corner and "Norwood" pike. Made back curtain for [phaeton?]. Made dope

Clear. Saturday Oct 5th Jenny Dorsey called had teeth extracted advice med Went to office. Mrs King called with her child for advice. Afternoon Bro. Chas and wife called at the gate. Willie went to Fulford. A Kitten from Mrs. [Tyron?] left here for Edwd Spent evening at SS store.
