[Left Page] Friday Nov 15th Went to office. Had halters made for the horses. Went again to office afternoon.

Saturday Nov 16th Went to office and Riverside. Got a new "ring maul". Afternoon Mr. Scofield called with colored boy to have "felon" opened. Went again to office. Harriet and I took tea at Mrs Chalfants. Phineas Carol's wife sent 2 1/2 lbs of butter (on account). Charley went (after closing the store) home with Richard Lea to spend the night.

[Right Page] Rainy Sunday Nov 17th Chas Roddy called. Afternoon drove to Riverside and Leawood Mills and brought Charley home. Ed Bentley and Jimmy Jackson called after tea and took Charley up to the store. Philip S Stabler called.

Cloudy Monday Nov 18th Went to P.S Stabler's and to the office afternoon went again to office taking Willie with me.

[Left Page] Clear Tuesday Nov 19th Went to Chas [Jas?] Roddy's and to the office P.S Stabler called for advice and med: for his wife. Ruth [Hellatchers?] called at the gate with Albert Chandler. Sister Beulah and little Alice here.

Clear Wednesday Nov 20th Went to office and to Mr. H Ent's Afternoon sent Israel to Leawood Mills for "stripping" for stable. Chas Roddy here for medicine for his daughter

[Right Page] Rainy Thursday Nov 21st Went to Mr H Ent's and to the office. Rainy disagreeable day.

Rainy Friday Nov 22d Rainy and disagreeable all day and windy with all. Tooth ache for a companion nearly all of last night and today

[Left Page] Clear and cloudy Saturday Nov 23d Went to the office, sent the horses back home by Israel and walked home myself. Went up to Gilpin and Bentley's and had a talk with Richard S Bentley. To the office again afternoon taking Willie with me. Ernest staid all night with Charley.

Clear Sunday Nov 24th Charley went home with Ernest before breakfast and returned about 10.30 this morning. I went to dress the wounds of Robt Sullivan's son. Frank, who was fatally wounded by the accidental discharge of a gun in his own hands tearing away the whole left side fo his face and jaw. He died about 2 p.m. never having rallied from the shock. Cousin Edwd Lea called Charley and Dora took a short drive towards evening.

[Right Page] Clear Monday Nov 25th Went to office and to Jeff Hopkins and Chas Roddy's taking Israel with me. Rebecca Johnston called for advice and medicine. Mrs Mary Estelle for advice for the latter. Went again to office and took medicine to Fulford for [Miss?] [Tellie?] Dr. Sane and Walter Scott and Jno Bentley sent the evening here and we had some music

Cloudy Tuesday Nov 26th Took Harriet and called at Homewood and at P.S. Stabler's. Afternoon sent Israel to P.S. Stablers and got 805 lbs of mixed hay. Charley went to Robt Sullivan's to the funeral of the young man who accidentally shot himself on sunday last. I took Willie and walked over to the graveyard to witness the burial.

[Left Page] Sunday Dec 1st Tom Budd's daughter "Eliza Jane" here and had tooth extracted. Charley and I went to Leawood Mills and Jno Winfield's afternoon. Willie and I went to Rob Awkard's After I had gone to bed, was called up to dress a punctured and incised wound in left side of a youth named Robert Aquilla who had been stabbed at "Sharp St: Meeting House by a young man named Jno: Cook. Sent him home in my express wagon on some hay.

Rain and Cloudy Monday Dec 2d Was up early and went to [Daul?] Aquilla's thence to Leawood Mills and home. Afternoon went again to D. Aquilla's also to Warner Cook's. P.S. Stabler called.

[Right Page] Tuesday Dec 3rd Went to office, to Aquilla's, Cook's, Robert Awkards and C Roddys before dinner. Afternoon went to Fulford to [secters?] Tyson and family. Lovejoy the "clock tinker" here all afternoon and until after supper cleaning and adjusting the old "great grandfather" clock. Charley's music teacher here. Ed: Hill brought me 3 cords of pinewood

Cloudy Wednesday Dec 4th Went to Aquilla's and to the office before dinner. "Clock tinker" here again to finish the clock he dined here. Afternoon went to Aquilla's and to Warner Cook's. Nathan Edwards was burned. I have a bad cold, tooth ache head ache etc.

[Left Page] Cloudy Snow Squall Thursday Dec 5th Cold and windy with snow squalls Went to office and to Aquilla's and Cooks Chas Stabler and Edwd Lea in the office. Went to Winfield's. Was sent for to prescribe for cousin Mary Chandler, after supper Charley and I drove over by moonlight.

Clear windy Friday Dec 6th Went to office and to Aquilla's and Cook's. Afternoon Harriet and I went to Leawood Mills and made a call. After tea Charley rode over to Hall's X Roads. Ed: Hill brought another load of pinewood (1 1/2 cords)

Sunday Dec 8th Went to Aquilla's and Cooks cousin M Chandler's and Robt Awkard's Afternoon Charley and Dora drove over to Riverside. Harry Lea called and left us some sausage Jno: Edwd Hill's wife here for advice and medicine. Went to see Samuel Wetherald at C Porter's
