67 Cloudy S.E.
Ther. Sat. May 30th, 1885 Wea.

Still another damp cloudy
day with occasional "drizzle"
John Johnson helped us to
set out about 175 cabbage
and some egg plants
Willie hauled a load
of sawdust & put it on
the ice. After dinner he
took Dora over to Riverside
& left her to spend
tonight there. Charley
got home from the party
at Mr Burr's about 1.15
this a.m. I did not sleep
well last night, & do not
feel quite so well today.

68 Clear. S.W.
Ther. Sun. May 31, 1885 Wea.

Clear and warm in the
morning Charley drove
Fritz to the buggy over to
Riverside (as he said when
he left here) to bring his
sister home promising to
have the horse back here by
or "before dark." About 2
o clock p.m. a heavy gust
arose in the west & divided
& part of it went north of us
down the Patapsco & part South
down the Potomack: another
gust passed around later in
the evening giving us a
light shower. Charley and
Dora got home after mid
night.
