Much cooler this morning.
Chas E Bond called. I drove
down to the bone mill and
prescribed for Mrs. Mary T Bond
and to A Valentines again to
prescribe for his wife. I also
called to see [Roscun] Bowen
again. Afternoon Charley went
to Jno Lucas, Edward going with
him. Rev: A Valentine was here
for medicine for his wife.

Ther: 55 Cloudy Wind S.E.
Saturday, May 3d, 1890
Dull & cloudy with occasional
light showers but could not be said
to have rained. Harriet suffered
all through last night with pain
in her left hand & wrist; Rheumatic"
I believe. Charley has a "boil" on
the back of his neck which is
painful & troublesome. Edward
was much disappointed that the
threatening weather prevented a
"school picnic" in the River that
Miss Scofield had intended to
give to some of her pupils.
Bro: Richard was here & I
extracted a tooth for him. After
supper Charley rode to Ashton
on horseback. "Hackett" was
here to see him.
