Foggy Thur: 35 January 1891 Thursday 1st Wind S.E

Dull disagreeable day drizzling rain most of the day. Snow on roof of the W carriage horse was so heavy often getting wet it fell on the top of my pledge tow & came near crushing it out Willie saw it in time & Bro Chas and his son Fred: came just then and we succeeded in getting it out before it came {illegible] entirely. B.O. Harveys wife sent twice for Charley. I sent her medicine. I am quite unwell with rheumatism & head ache. but drove to Ashton to see Emma King.
