Quite good sleighing on the
turnpike except when it is too
much drifted, but too rough &
many bare places on the dirt
roads. I rode to Ashton on Wilber
Cissel's slide or "bobsled" and
walked home. Afternoon "Phil"
& I hitched "Frank" to the sleigh
and drove up to the store and
down to Ashton. Frank Cook
was here for advice & medicine
for his wife at suppertime.

About home all day except
up at the mill. Edwin Davis
sent us a 1/2 cord of green oak
wood.
