Willie took Dora Fancy & Alice
Peirce, Bessie & Edward to the "Fair",
at Rockville in the Surry, driving
"Frank" & a bronze mare of E Gilput's
(one that Gilpice had just bought of
John Needles) leaving the Peirce
mare "Sally" for me to use in
case I was called away during
their absence: they reached home
before dark, about 6-30 p.m.
having had a very pleasant day.

It has been very hot to day but
a pleasant breeze has been blowing
most of the time It feels as if we
might have a gust of some kind
before tomorrow morning.
