Raw & chilly. I rode to Ashton
on horseback. Willie walked home
from E Peirce's & rode "Frank" to Robt:
Blair's & back before dinner.
Richd Iddings Sr: called.
Afternoon Amanda Dublin called
& paid her bill. Bro Charles
came & took Sister Harriet to
Riverside to make a visit.
After supper Willie went to John C
Bentley's & borrowed his "Bob" horse
to drive with "Frank" tomorrow to
take cousins Hannah & Ellie in the
"Surry" to Rockville to attend to
some business with the Orphan's
Court. Edwatd commenced school
again this morning at "Sherwood"
Miss Emma Scheiner came this
morning & I went with her over to
our public Schoolhouse, which
also commenced today.

Willie made an early start
going over to "Homewood" for cousins
Hannah & Ellie & then to
Rockville driving "Frank" & one of John
Bentley's horses to the "Surry". They
reached home before 3 o' clock in
afternoon. Mrs Wm: Canby and
her children [?Villis] Berssie Rust
called. I have felt quite unwell
all day, having severe headache.
I have "taken cold", from the damp
weather: it being raw & chilly.
