Cloudy
34 Ther. Tuesday, DEC. 25,,th 1894. SE v N.W Wind.

It rained several times during last
night & was threatning all the morning.
We had a quiet Christmas, having
only Willie & Fanny to help Harriet,
Dora, Edwd & myself to eat our turkey
& plum pudding. Afternoon Willie
& Fanny took Dora in the buggy with
them to "Fairfield" intending to go to
church at "Crowtown". Edwd went
with them on horseback, he is to
return after supper & Willie will
bring Dora home tomorrow morning.
I walked up to the P.O. after the mail
came in.

Cloudy & Snow
22° Ther. Wednesday, 26,,th N.E Wind

Cold & raw to day. I was telephoned
for from Riverside & rode over on horseback
& back before dinner. After
noon it commenced snowing fast
and looks as though we might have
a deep snow if it does not turn to
rain before morning. Edwd was
over to Fr. Downey's and paid him
$7.00 on the milk bill, he gave
it to Mrs Downey Mr D not being
at home.

Rain, Snow & Clearing -

28° Ther. Thursday, DEC. 27,,th 1894 N.W. Wind.

It rained, snowed & sleeted all
through last night, and until near
noon to day when it cleared off and
the wind blew strong from N.W. and
was very cold. Frank Robison helped
me get down the sleigh and after
lunch Edwd & I drove over to Riverside:
we suffered from the cold wind.
The sleighing would be good if it was
beaten down enough. Fred Iddings
called this morning. Bro. R is I fear
failing quite rapidly.

Clear
14° Ther. Friday, 28,,th N.W.Wind

The coldest morning so far this winter.
I walked to Ashton & back, took the
horse up to Sandy Spring & Jim Powell (with
some help from Thos. Marlow) rough shod
him for me. Bro Chas called. Edwd went
with Frank Leizeur Jr. to find a defect
in the telegraph line & located it
near "Lay Hill": Afternoon Willie
came, & after supper he & Edwd went
to a dance at Grange Hall, in the sleigh.
