Ther. 39° Clear & Cloudy. Wind SE & NW
Sunday, Feb. 7,th 1897

Clear & bright this morning but the
ground is not frozen on top, making
the walking disagreeable. Willie
& Fanny came to spend the day with
us, leaving the baby at "Fairfield."
I went to meeting Edwd going with
me. Our preacher did not attend
today & we had a silent meeting
which I enjoy sometimes. Afternoon
I walked up to Henderson's & exchanged
some Murreys Magazines. Willie &
Fanny went back to "Fairfield" about
4-30 p.m. It has become quite
cloudy again this evening, threatening
more rain or snow. Dora and
Fanny went to the "little meeting
house" this morning near Sherwood.

Ther. 35° Cloudy, Snow & Rain. Wind S.E.
Monday, Feb. 8,th 1897

It was cloudy early this morning &
about 9 o'clock it commenced snowing
and continued until afternoon when
it turned to a drizzle. I walked to
Ashton & rode back with Wallace Bond.
Afternoon I again walked to Ashton
to Bulwar's to have one of the milk
cans mended. Edwd & the boys next
door used "Charley Roy" to Henderson's
cart to haul snow into the next door
ice house or "hole" the boys dug for
that purpose. Lizzie Scott here again.

I went to the store & P.O. It has been
another very disagreeable day out of
doors. Pair of the felt shoes that Dora
ordered from New York for her mother
came by mail.
