Ther. 50 Clear. Wind.
Sunday May 16,th 1897.

Quite cold this morning. we had
a fire in the dining room all day.
Tom Stabler went to Brooke Grove after
breakfast. Edwd & I went to meeting
had sermon from Edwd Farquhar.
Rachael Kosh was here & had a tooth
extracted. Willie, Fanny, & baby came
to spend the day with us. Mrs Robison's
had company from Gaithersburg named
"Hogan". they put their horse in the
stable here. Alice Tyson called and
left $1.00 for Anna Thomas (a servant
employed at "Marden". Afternoon
Willie & Edwd took a ride on their
bicycles. After supper W. & F. & the
baby went back to "Fairfield".

Sarah Stabler called to see sister H
after meeting. I walked up to the
toll house after supper. It had
been quite cool all day, & feels
more like autumn weather this
evening.

Monday May 17,th 1897.

Still delightfully cool weather.
Bro. Chas. & Sister Lizzie called to see
Sister Harriet before dinner: Afternoon
Bro. C & Charley Frey called, Bro. C
wishing me to write a letter of introduction
for him to Dr L McL. Tiffany
of Baltimore, whom he has been advised
by both Dr Magruder & myself
to consult in refference to the trouble
in his mouth & the glands under his jaw:
he expects to go to Balto. tomorrow.

I walked to Ashton & back, & to the store
& P.O. several times. After supper Edwd.
went with Mrs Robison's folks down
to Mrs. Ellicott's to spend the evening.
