Wednesday Aug. 4,th 1897.

Quite warm today. I walked
to Ashton & paid C.G. Porter Fifty
Dollars: called at the store. Saw
Beatrix Tyson at Ashton & put up
medicine for their nurse "Ida".
Ellen Stabler called to see Dora.

Afternoon Mrs Mary W. Kirk
& daughter called & took sister
Harriet to "Fair Hill" to make a visit.
Herbert also went there before
supper to spend the night.

I mailed postal cards to the
members of the Physician's Social
Club, inviting them to meet here
on Friday the 13th inst. After
supper I went to the store & P.O.
& had a talk with F. Leizear about
the new School House. A thunder
gust came up from the West & N.W.
about 8.o'clock

Thursday Aug. 5,th 1897.

I had a chill about 4.o'clk
this morning, & have felt wretched
all day. Edwd drove over
to the Cemetery to help put it
in order. Herbert came back
to spend the night with us.
