Ther. 70° Clear. Wind.
Saturday Aug. 14,th 1897.

Much warmer again this morning.
I went to the store & to Saml.
B. Wetherald's to see War'k Stabler
and later went again, and was
successful in introducing a catheter,
the first I have been able to
obtain that was small enough,
and it I borrowed from D. Brooke.

I had the horse hitched up intending
to drive over to Riverside, but
by the time I was through with
War'k Stabler's case, it was too
hot and I was "used up". Edwd
drove down to Ashton and back.
Asa Stabler called in afternoon
and also Herbert Kirk to bid us
"good bye", as he returns to Philada.
tomorrow.

Ther. 72 Cloudy & Clearing. Wind.
Sunday Aug. 15, 1897.

It was very warm or hot throughout
last night, and we were wakened
this morning by a thunder storm; it
continued raining until about
9.o'clock when it cleared off.

I went to Saml B Wetherald's &
relieved Warick Stabler completely with
the catheter. I have had head ache
ever since I awakened this morning.
At lunch time Miss Mary
T Kirk called to see Dora & invite
her to lunch at "Woodburn" with
them on friday.
