Ther. 22o Tues. Jan. 4th, 1898. S.E. Wind

Beautiful winter weather
I went to see Old Mrs Leizear
again. Went to the mill and
bought some corn & flour.
Afternoon Alice Peirce and
Fanny called. Henderson
finished filling his ice house
from the Stabler pond.
Towards evening I went to
the store for tobacco.
Frank Leizear Sr came home
today from Sligo where he
was taken sick with "pneumonia"
several weeks ago.
Old John was here to see me
After supper. Edwd went with the
boys from next door to spend the
evening at Mrs Ellicott's.

Still beautiful winter weather
although the wind is N.E. and
it is warmer. I went to see Frank
Leizear Sr; (who came home
yesterday) and also old Mrs
Leizear again who is much
better. Rev Mr P. M. Boyden
called before lunch time.
Afternoon Willie came to the
mill and was here for some
time. Edwd & Bessie Robison
rode (on bicycles) to Olney
and Brookeville for some
beef. There was a sale of the old
books belonging to the "Book Club"
at "Sherwood School house this
afternoon, not feeling very well
I did not attend. After supper
walked up to the store for a lamp chimney
& some other articles. Hilles Robison
came in & got his rifle after supper.
