Cloudy
40° Ther. SUN. MAR. 1st, 1898 S E Wind.

Cloudy & threatning rain all
day, until towards sun set
Edwd & I went to meeting and
heard a lecture from Edwd.
Farquhar, his subject being
"Eternity". Afternoon we had
several light showers. Willie
& Fanny came & spent an hour
or two with us. It looked very
threatning about 3. 30 p.m
& the wind changed to N. W.
with quite a heavy blow &
some rain, but soon passed
over, & the sun set beautifully
clear, but still warm the frogs
& birds singing. W & F went
back to "Fairfield" before supper.
After supper I walked up to the
toll house.

see Dora. After supper went to
village again. Edwd. went to
Mt Airy to a "singing class".
