Note What we Claim for Pepto Mangan ("Gude") and the same has never the metals, Iron and Ma organo-plastic-form, th tively neutral in reaction held in perfect solution as being produced by a process heretofore unknown. This preparation, Gude's taken into the stomach undergoes no chemical change whatsoever. Being practica readily absorbed by the musous membrane of the stomach, the process of assimila metals are take up by the blood immediately. Other commercial solutions of Iron and Maganese are made with Alkalies, and notably the latter; that is, they are held in solution in the presence large quantity of Caustic Soda, which neutralize to a certain extent, the Hydro stimach; and liberates Oxides of Iron and Maganese. The latter, through the a chloric Acid of the gastric juice, are converted into chlorides of these metals, and action upon the gastric mucous membrane. This has been proven by Prof. Bun very able article read before the Congress of Medicine, at Munich, 1895.
