Clear & Cloudy Changeable
Ther. SUN, APRIL 16th, 1899 Wind
We had quite a thunder gust
pass north of us between one &
two o'clock this a.m. It rained
more or less all last night, and
this morning looked threatening.
I went to meeting. Dr. C. Farquhar
had a talk with me about a
case of fatal umbilical hemorrhage
in a new born infant.
After meeting I went to Henderson's
for papers. We had
quite a storm or "blizzard"
about 12 o clock noon, it
looked very black & threatening
and blew hard, with thunder &
lightning, snow, rain & hail.
for some time. It partly cleared off
afternoon with high N.W. wind
and grew cold. After supper
I went to the toll house, and
walked back with J.T. Henderson.
It has cleared off & is a beautiful
moonlight night, calm, but
quite cool.

Clear. N.W.
Ther. MON. APRIL 17th, 1899 Wind
This has been another lovely
spring like day after the storms
of yesterday. I filed and "set" the
wood saw and Phil Robison
& I readjusted the "groundwire"
from the telephone into the
well, and took down the wire
leading from across the road
to the office. Went to the P.O.
before dinner & after supper.
Edward came home on the
bicycle & Willie & Fanny came
to spend the evening.
