75 (degrees) Cloudy & Clearing Variable
Ther. SUN. AUG. 6th, 1899. Wind.
It was raining & threatening thunder
gust all last night & storms passed
both North & South of us, and still
cloudy this morning & until afternoon
when it cleared off beautifully
with a N.W. breeze and the atmosphere
seeming purer than for
several days past. Edwd & I
went to meeting, which was a
silent one. Edwd & Clara Leadbeater
& Hannah Chandlee were
at meetng. Mrs Robison came
in this morning & sat awhile,
otherwise we had a quiet Sunday
to ourselves.
63 Clear. N.W.
Ther. MON. AUG. 7th, 1899. Wind.
Cool & pleasant all day with
a nice breeze from N.W. Cousins
Clara Leadbeater, Annie Chandlee
& Mary Butler called before
lunch. Afternoon I walked
to Ashton. Edwd. went over
to "Fairfield" to spend the night.
This has been a lovely summer
day. After supper I walked up
to the store & to Fairall's office.
"John" was here and I explained
"pension blanks" he received
from Washington, and partly
filled them out for him.
